Bu araştırmada genç yetişkin bireylerde sosyal medya bağımlılık ve serbest zaman tutum düzeyleri, algıladıkları gelir durumu arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaç edinilmiştir. Araştırmada katılımcıların sosyal medya bağımlılık düzeylerini tespit etmek amacıyla Bergen Sosyal Medya Bağımlılık Ölçeği (BSMBÖ), serbest zaman tutum düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla Serbest Zaman Tutum Ölçeği Kısa-Form’u (SZTÖ-KF) kullanılmış olup toplam 480 kişiye erişilmiştir. Sosyal medya bağımlılığı ve serbest zaman tutumu arasında pozitif yönde zayıf bir ilişki tespit edilirken algılanan gelir durumunun sosyal medya bağımlılığı ve serbest zaman tutumu kavramlarını yordamada etkili bir değişken olabileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
